Quitman to Host 2026 Juneteenth Celebration on South Lee Street
The City of Quitman invites residents, families, visitors, vendors, and surrounding communities to gather for the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on South Lee Street in downtown Quitman, Georgia.
This year’s celebration will bring the community together for a full day of music, culture, history, food, fellowship, and family-friendly activities. The event is designed to honor the meaning of Juneteenth while creating a welcoming space for people of all ages to celebrate freedom, heritage, and community pride.

Live Entertainment and Community Performances
Attendees can look forward to a strong lineup of live entertainment and local talent throughout the day. Featured performers include Ayonna Charese and Rehab, Michael “Saxxy Mike” Spencer, Kristina Cheeks with a Mary Turner Tribute, DJ Ambyrd and Westside Jimi, Tifini Austin and Fertile Ground Family, Bethel AMC Quitman, WBBS Steppers, Marlena Gray, and additional community performances.
From live vocals and saxophone to West African dance, step performances, cultural presentations, and DJ entertainment, the celebration will offer something for everyone to enjoy.
Food, Vendors, History, and Family Activities
The Juneteenth Celebration will also feature vendors, food trucks, cultural exhibits, historical presentations, community resources, family activities, a kids zone, and face painting. Residents are encouraged to bring their families, support local vendors, enjoy the entertainment, and take part in a meaningful day of celebration.
A Celebration of Freedom and Strength
Juneteenth is a time to reflect on freedom, honor history, celebrate culture, and recognize the strength of community. This year’s event continues that tradition by bringing people together in downtown Quitman for a day rooted in remembrance, unity, and celebration.
